Nearly two decades after Mitchie Torres first arrived at Camp Rock, Disney returns to the music camp with a noticeably different landscape. “Camp Rock 3” brings Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas back as Connect 3, whose reunion tour hits a problem when their opening act drops out. Their solution is to return to Camp Rock and hold a competition among a new generation of musicians, including Sage, Fletch, Rosie, Desi, Cliff, Callie and Madison. Directed by Veronica Rodriguez, the third movie premiered on Disney Channel on August 13, 2026, and began streaming on Disney+ the following day.
The fictional camp may be the same place in the story, but the real production moved across Canada. Instead of returning to the Ontario locations associated with the first two movies, “Camp Rock 3” was filmed in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, with Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby providing the most recognizable outdoor setting. Disney officially confirmed that production began in Vancouver in September 2025.
Barnet Marine Park, Burnaby
The real heart of “Camp Rock 3” is Barnet Marine Park at 8181 Barnet Road in Burnaby, immediately east of Vancouver. Local residents spotted an unusually elaborate production taking shape at the waterfront park in September 2025, complete with Camp Rock signage, canoes, kayaks and a large outdoor set. Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas were then seen filming there as Shane, Nate and Jason Gray.

Barnet Marine Park is not an actual summer music camp. It is a public foreshore park on Burrard Inlet, with a sandy beach, picnic areas, wooded sections and broad views of the mountains across the water. Those features made it surprisingly easy to turn the location into the secluded Camp Rock viewers are supposed to recognize.
The movie makes particularly strong use of the shoreline. Disney’s own promotional material shows Connect 3 and the young campers performing and gathering around outdoor spaces beside the water, while the wooded slopes across Burrard Inlet help hide the fact that the production is only a short distance from urban Metro Vancouver.

The Camp Rock Stage and Cabins
Barnet Marine Park did considerably more than provide establishing shots. Temporary production design transformed portions of the picnic and waterfront areas into the fictional camp itself.
Sets erected around the park included Camp Rock branding and outdoor performance areas, while finished scenes show the new campers rehearsing, competing and performing beside the water. Recent post-release location reporting also identifies Barnet Marine Park as the site used for the camp’s bunks and the lakeside Final Jam stage.

That means viewers visiting Burnaby should not expect to find a permanent collection of Camp Rock cabins waiting beside the beach. Much of what appears to be camp infrastructure was created specifically for production and removed afterward.
The landscape is real, however. The beach, shoreline, forest and mountain backdrop remain accessible as part of the public park.

Vancouver, British Columbia
Disney officially described Vancouver as the production location when announcing “Camp Rock 3” on September 17, 2025. The project was filming locally under the working title “Rock the Boat,” a name that appeared on production notices before Disney publicly confirmed the sequel.
Vancouver supplied the larger production infrastructure while nearby Burnaby handled the most visible camp exteriors. This is a familiar arrangement for productions in British Columbia, where crews can work close to major soundstage facilities while reaching beaches, mountains and dense forests within relatively short travel distances.

No reliable public production record has yet identified a specific Vancouver soundstage used for the movie. Bridge Studios and other nearby facilities are sometimes mentioned in general Vancouver filming discussions, but none has been confirmed as a “Camp Rock 3” filming site. It would therefore be misleading to add a studio to the location list simply because the production was based in the region.

Were Any Other Camp Locations Used?
There have been online claims connecting the production to other places around Metro Vancouver, including locations farther east of Burnaby. So far, Barnet Marine Park is the only specific outdoor Camp Rock location supported by strong local reporting and visible production evidence.
That distinction is important because Vancouver productions frequently use multiple parks and private properties that never receive public location notices. Additional locations may eventually emerge through crew portfolios or behind-the-scenes material, but they should not be presented as confirmed simply because a social-media post associates them with the movie.

For now, the reliable filming map consists of Metro Vancouver generally and Barnet Marine Park specifically.
When Was Camp Rock 3 Filmed?
Principal photography began in mid-September 2025. Production tracking listed the Vancouver shoot from September 15 through late October, while Disney confirmed on September 17 that cameras had already started rolling that week.
The timing also created an unusual overlap for the Jonas Brothers. They were filming in Metro Vancouver while continuing their music commitments, and their appearance at Barnet Marine Park drew attention almost immediately because the production had made little effort to disguise the giant Camp Rock branding around the waterfront set.

Is It the Same Camp From the Original Movies?
No. “Camp Rock 3” represents the same fictional camp, but it was not filmed at the same Canadian locations as the earlier movies.
The original “Camp Rock” films were produced in Ontario, while the third installment relocated the franchise west to British Columbia. Disney has never suggested that viewers are supposed to notice the change. The production instead recreated the familiar mixture of cabins, water, forest and outdoor performance spaces around Burnaby so the new camp still feels connected to the earlier films.
That move also gives the sequel its own visual identity. Barnet Marine Park has a much broader coastal outlook than the Ontario cottage-country settings associated with the franchise’s beginnings. The mountains across Burrard Inlet are especially distinctive, adding a scale to the new Camp Rock that was not as prominent before.
For fans interested in visiting a real “Camp Rock 3” location, Barnet Marine Park is unusually accessible. Unlike a private summer camp, it remains a public Burnaby park. The movie’s signs and temporary sets are gone, but the beach where Connect 3 returned to Camp Rock is very much real.
