Hallmark’s “Falling Into Place” builds its romance around the comforts of going home. Kaia returns to the small town of Maplecrest for its fall festival and her high school reunion, expecting a temporary break from the career that normally consumes her attention. Instead, she reconnects with childhood best friend James, and the pair decide to finally complete the fall bucket list they made years earlier. The story depends heavily on autumn atmosphere, from community events to countryside outings, but Maplecrest is not a real town. The movie was filmed in British Columbia, with the Vancouver production region and communities east of the city providing its cozy small-town setting.

Vancouver, British Columbia

The Greater Vancouver area served as the production base for “Falling Into Place.” Production information placed filming between May 28 and June 12, 2026, and industry payment records independently show work on the movie across that same period. While Hallmark’s story is set in the fictional community of Maplecrest, British Columbia once again provides the streets, countryside and businesses used to create an American small-town setting.

The production did not appear to depend heavily on recognizable downtown Vancouver landmarks. Instead, filming moved into communities in the Lower Mainland where historic storefronts and working farmland better matched the movie’s fall-festival story. That is particularly useful for a Hallmark romance built around nostalgia. Maplecrest needs to feel like a place where Kaia has history, not simply a polished city neighborhood decorated with pumpkins for a few scenes.

The movie was directed by Angie Nolan, whose work on “Falling Into Place” marked her first Hallmark movie as director after participating in Hallmark’s Make Her Mark mentorship initiative. Her social-media updates during production helped confirm some of the specific locations used near the end of the shoot.

Fort Langley and Cranberries Naturally

One of the clearest confirmed filming locations is Cranberries Naturally in Fort Langley. The specialty shop is located at 9124 Glover Road, Unit 3, Fort Langley, British Columbia, in the community’s historic commercial district. The business reported that the “Falling Into Place” cast and crew filmed inside the shop for three days in early June 2026.

Cranberries Naturally has operated since 1999 and specializes in locally produced cranberry products. Its Fort Langley location sells preserves, sauces, dried cranberries and other goods made around the fruit. The store’s modest scale and traditional storefront make it an especially natural fit for Maplecrest, where locally owned businesses and community traditions are part of the film’s appeal.

Fort Langley itself is a familiar choice for film and television crews looking for a town that feels older than metropolitan Vancouver. Glover Road is lined with compact storefronts and heritage-style buildings, allowing productions to create a convincing main street without constructing an elaborate outdoor set. For “Falling Into Place,” the location helps give Kaia’s hometown the lived-in quality the story needs.

It is worth being precise about what has been confirmed. The business verified that filming took place in the store, but Hallmark has not publicly identified the exact fictional name Cranberries Naturally carries in the finished movie. Until the film airs, attaching a particular Maplecrest business or scene to the location would be speculation.

Hopcott Farms, Pitt Meadows

The production also filmed at Hopcott Farms in Pitt Meadows, another confirmed location outside Vancouver. Director Angie Nolan shared that the crew was working there on June 11, near the end of principal photography. Hopcott Farms’ market is located at 18385 Old Dewdney Trunk Road, Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.

The property has been operated by the Hopcott family since 1932. What began as a dairy farm developed over generations into a working agricultural business with cattle, produce, cranberry fields, a butcher shop, market, bistro and event facilities. Its rural landscape is therefore not a purpose-built Hallmark set. The movie is using a genuine Lower Mainland farm whose barns, fields and market spaces already provide the visual ingredients associated with its autumn setting.

Hopcott Farms is particularly well suited to a movie centered on a fall bucket list. The story sends Kaia and James back toward activities they once wanted to experience together, while the larger Maplecrest festival emphasizes the pleasures of slowing down and reconnecting with the community. A working farm gives those scenes a different texture from the town interiors filmed elsewhere.

Public production information confirms filming at Hopcott Farms, although the filmmakers have not released a detailed scene-by-scene breakdown of which parts of the property appear. Viewers should therefore be cautious about identifying every farm sequence with a specific Hopcott building until the completed movie can be matched to the location.

Falling Into Place

Maplecrest Is a Fictional Hallmark Town

The town of Maplecrest is fictional. Hallmark describes Kaia as returning home for the town’s fall festival and her high school reunion, but no real Maplecrest is credited as the shooting location. The movie instead assembles its hometown from several places around British Columbia’s Lower Mainland.

That approach is common for television romances because it gives filmmakers far more control over the look of the town. Fort Langley can supply the historic commercial atmosphere, while Pitt Meadows contributes open agricultural land and farm buildings. The wider Vancouver production industry provides the crews, interiors and additional locations required to connect them into one fictional community.

The illusion should be especially convincing here because “Falling Into Place” is not trying to turn Maplecrest into a spectacular tourist destination. Its appeal comes from familiarity. Kaia is returning to a place where everyone seems to have roots, memories and unfinished business, and the real locations chosen around Vancouver already carry the sort of community character the movie needs.

When Was Falling Into Place Filmed?

Principal photography took place from May 28 through June 12, 2026, according to production reporting based on Creative BC information. Additional industry records show performers being paid for work on May 28 and 29 and across several dates in June, supporting that filming window.

That means the production created its autumn world months before Hallmark’s September premiere. The finished movie may be filled with fall colors, festivals and seasonal decorations, but the cast was actually working through late spring in British Columbia.

What ultimately sells Maplecrest is not one famous landmark. “Falling Into Place” combines the production resources of Vancouver with the small-town character of Fort Langley and the agricultural landscape of Pitt Meadows. Cranberries Naturally and Hopcott Farms are the two most clearly documented real businesses used during filming, and together they explain why Kaia’s hometown feels less like a studio creation and more like somewhere viewers could actually visit.
