Susan Ryeland is once again caught between a murder in the real world and the secrets hidden inside an Atticus Pund novel in Marble Hall Murders. The PBS Masterpiece mystery reunites Lesley Manville and Tim McMullan for the third installment following Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders, but this time the production expands its world considerably.

The production’s three officially named filming areas were Dublin, London and the Greek island of Corfu. Anthony Horowitz’s January 2025 announcement scheduled filming to begin that March. The guide below distinguishes those announced production areas from individual venues identified in local location reports.

Corfu, Greece

Corfu is the most visually distinctive filming location in Marble Hall Murders because it appears directly within the fictional Atticus Pund mystery.

In Pund’s Last Case, Atticus Pund travels to Corfu and becomes involved in the death of Lady Margaret Chalfont. The television adaptation therefore uses the real Greek island rather than attempting to recreate its Mediterranean landscape elsewhere.

The island’s traditional architecture, vegetation and coastal atmosphere help separate Pund’s 1955 mystery from Susan’s contemporary investigation in England. This geographical contrast is especially important in Marble Hall Murders because viewers continually move between the manuscript Susan is editing and the real mystery surrounding the Crace family.

Agios Ioannis, Corfu

More specifically, filming took place around Agios Ioannis, a village in central Corfu. Local Corfu reporting identifies the village square as one of the production’s shooting locations, with exterior scenes staged in the surrounding area.

This gives Marble Hall Murders some genuine Corfiot scenery rather than relying solely on studio work. Agios Ioannis provides the kind of quieter village setting that suits the classic murder-mystery atmosphere of Atticus Pund’s investigation.

Reported location: Archontiko Petrettini Boutique Hotel

Local Corfu filming reports identify Archontiko Petrettini Boutique Hotel in Agios Ioannis as the property used for Hotel Xenia, including interior and exterior scenes. This specific filming identification is based on that local reporting; the production announcement confirms Corfu but does not name the hotel.

The mansion dates back to the period of French influence on Corfu, making its architecture particularly suitable for the series’ period storyline. Its appearance is also much more significant than an ordinary establishing shot because the production used the property itself as part of Pund’s fictional environment.

Dublin and Ireland

A substantial part of Marble Hall Murders was also filmed in Dublin and Ireland. The production announcement from Anthony Horowitz’s official site specifically named Dublin alongside London and Corfu when filming was announced in early 2025.

Ireland has frequently been used by British productions to recreate English locations, and Marble Hall Murders appears to have followed that model for portions of Susan Ryeland’s storyline. Public production databases list Dublin as a filming location, although the production has not released a comprehensive list of every street and interior used there.

There are also local reports linking Morristown Lattin House near Naas in County Kildare to the production. Because that location has not been formally detailed by PBS or the production company, it is best treated as a reported location rather than presenting a specific on-screen identity for the house.

London, England

London was the third major location officially named for the production. It makes sense within Susan’s side of the story because she has returned to England when she is approached about editing a continuation of the Atticus Pund novels.

Unlike Corfu, however, specific London streets or buildings used for the series have not been publicly identified in reliable production information so far. The confirmed information is therefore that London formed part of the shoot, rather than any unverified claim about a particular landmark.
