The Gentlemen expands well beyond Halstead Manor in Season 2, and the change is visible almost immediately. Guy Ritchie’s Netflix crime series was filmed mainly across England and northern Italy, combining aristocratic estates, an airfield, a cathedral, historic mansions and the shores of Lake Maggiore. Badminton House in Gloucestershire returns as Eddie Horniman’s fictional family estate, while one of the season’s biggest additions is Italy, where the production filmed around Verbania, Pallanza and Stresa. Some locations that appear to be much farther away were actually created closer to home. Even the season’s Peru sequences were filmed in England rather than South America.
Badminton House Returns as Halstead Manor
Badminton House in Gloucestershire once again provides the recognizable exterior of Halstead Manor, the enormous country estate inherited by Eddie Horniman. The real property is the ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort and was one of the defining locations of the first season.

Season 2 returns to both the house and its grounds rather than replacing Eddie’s home with a new stand-in. The estate becomes particularly important again later in the season, giving the story a familiar English anchor even as Eddie and Susie’s business becomes increasingly international.

That continuity matters visually. The Gentlemen builds much of its identity around the collision between old English wealth and organized crime, and Badminton House provides both without requiring much artificial dressing. Its lived-in aristocratic character remains a major part of Halstead Manor’s appearance.

Lake Maggiore Is Season 2’s Biggest New Filming Location
The major geographical change comes in Lake Maggiore in northern Italy, where an extended portion of Season 2 was photographed during the summer of 2025. Production concentrated around Verbania, Pallanza, Intra and Stresa, turning the Piedmont side of the lake into Eddie and Susie’s glamorous new criminal territory.
One of the most prominent locations is Villa Rusconi-Clerici, a neoclassical villa overlooking Lake Maggiore. The production constructed a temporary pier outside the property so characters could approach by boat, with Theo James photographed filming aboard a classic Riva speedboat on the lake.

Several nearby Pallanza landmarks were used as well. Grand Hotel Majestic appears during the season’s Italian storyline, including scenes connected with a wedding, while Chiesa di San Leonardo was transformed for the ceremony itself. The crew also worked around Piazza Garibaldi and the Pallanza waterfront.
Actor Theo James later identified Stresa and the Borromean Islands among the places used during the Italian shoot. Instead of scattering production around different regions of Italy, the filmmakers deliberately found villas, hotels, streets, churches and waterfront settings close to one another.

Production designer Martyn John explained that the Italian unit had only about two weeks to capture much of this material, making Lake Maggiore particularly useful because so many different looks could be found within the same area.

Guy Ritchie’s Ashcombe House Appears in the Opening Episode
Another unusually personal location for the production is Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, Guy Ritchie’s own country estate.
The property’s extensive grounds and lake were used for the hunting-party sequences in the opening episode. The Georgian manor sits within a large rural estate, making it a natural match for the wealthy landowners and politicians who populate Eddie’s increasingly ambitious world.
The filming was less straightforward than the finished scenes suggest. Production took place during summer while the sequence was designed to look considerably colder, leaving the cast working in heavy country clothing. Some of the birds required for the hunting material were also created with visual effects.
Where Were the Airfield and Cannabis Farm Scenes Filmed?
Season 2’s expanding drug operation was assembled from several different locations rather than filmed in one real facility.
White Waltham Airfield in Berkshire provided the hangars and exteriors surrounding some of the cannabis infrastructure. The actual interior farm was a purpose-built studio set constructed with shipping containers.
The scenes involving aircraft landing were filmed elsewhere, at Guy Ritchie’s private airfield in Wiltshire. Editing then combines the studio interiors, White Waltham hangars and Wiltshire runway into what appears to be one continuous location.

That method allowed the production to create a much larger criminal facility without finding a single site capable of accommodating every element.
Swakeleys House Becomes Freddy’s Rehab Centre
Swakeleys House in Ickenham, West London, doubles as St. Bartholomew’s rehabilitation centre, where Daniel Ings’ Freddy Horniman spends part of Season 2.

The real building is a striking 17th-century mansion, but its pale interiors give Freddy’s storyline a noticeably different atmosphere from the warm wood, paintings and country-house textures associated with Halstead.
Another major historic location appears at Salisbury Cathedral in Wiltshire. Theo James and Giancarlo Esposito filmed scenes there involving Eddie and the returning Stanley Johnston, with the cathedral’s famous Magna Carta also becoming part of the setting.

Was The Gentlemen Season 2 Really Filmed in Peru?
No. The Peru sequences were filmed in England. When Susie Glass travels into a forested South American setting to conduct business with a cartel, the production used locations in West London and a country estate near Guildford to stand in for Peru.
England also secretly substitutes for Italy in a few instances. Although the Grand Hotel Majestic itself was used, the production recreated additional Italian hotel interiors inside a country house near Uxbridge after the limited Lake Maggiore schedule made shooting everything in Italy impractical.

Principal photography began in spring 2025 and wrapped in October, with the Lake Maggiore unit working mainly between June and early July. Season 2 therefore looks considerably more international than its predecessor without abandoning the country houses and carefully stitched-together locations that gave The Gentlemen its distinctive style in the first place.
