Where was Lifetime’s A Nurse’s Revenge filmed?

A Nurse’s Revenge was shot primarily in Lexington, Kentucky. Principal photography began in November 2023, about a month after pre-production started, and wrapped within a few weeks. The Lifetime thriller, written by Daniel West and directed by David Benullo, premiered October 24, 2024. No specific interior venues or named streets have been publicly confirmed by the studio, though the production drew on the city’s residential neighborhoods, medical facilities, and surrounding greenery for its visual look.

What Lexington Offered the Production

Lexington gave the production quiet residential streets, medical infrastructure, and open green space, all within a state that runs one of the more competitive film tax incentive programs in the country. Kentucky’s Entertainment Incentive offers eligible productions a fully refundable tax credit of 30 to 35 percent on approved in-state expenditures, with an annual state cap of $75 million. For a Lifetime thriller operating on a compressed schedule, those figures meaningfully reduce the cost gap between filming in Kentucky and the higher-overhead alternatives of Los Angeles or Atlanta.

VisitLEX launched FilmLEX in 2024, a resource hub aimed at productions in the $1 million to $10 million range, offering location scouting, permit support, and local crew directories. Wrigley Media Group opened LEX Studios that same year, a 50,000-square-foot production facility and the largest in the state.

Production Timeline

Some sessions reportedly extended overnight to 5 AM to stay on schedule. During production, the film carried the working title Vengeful Caregiver, a more literal description of Sharon’s method that was replaced before marketing began.

Actress Sarah Pribis, who plays Mrs. Alcott, described the experience in an Instagram post reported by The Cinemaholic: “Filmed a movie, ate ramen, ran into old friends, made new friends, and absolutely loved this adventure.”

The Story

Advertisements

Sharon (Kristina Clifford) is a nurse who gave up a child, Todd Alcott, for adoption years earlier. When she discovers that Todd was killed in a car accident caused by a group of negligent teenagers, she uses her medical credentials to insert herself as caretaker into the household of Cassie Freemont (Carissa Murray), one of the surviving teens. As Cassie’s friends are harmed one by one, Cassie races to identify Sharon’s real connection to the accident. The film was produced by Richard Switzer, with Johanna Fogle as co-producer and Audrey Way Mesler as executive producer, for production companies Maverick Film and Dawn’s Light.

Cast

Kristina Clifford plays Sharon, the film’s central antagonist. Her earlier credits include Butt Boy (2019) and Dark Light (2019). Joe Lipsett reviewed the film for Bloody Disgusting, giving it 3 out of 5.

Carissa Murray, who portrays Cassie Freemont, made her film debut with this production. Murray grew up in Los Angeles and has trained as a competitive dancer since age nine; her coach’s encouragement led her toward acting. Lipsett described her as “a great lead, even if the character of Cassie is occasionally too unbelievably pure of heart.”

The remainder of the principal cast, as listed across credits databases, includes:

  • Tammy-Anne Fortuin as Diane Freemont, Cassie’s mother
  • Sarah Pribis as Mrs. Alcott
  • Noemi VanSlyke as Tamara
  • Shea Pritchard as Scott
  • Bradford Haynes as Judge Lewis
  • Joe Sterrey as Braden
  • Jonathan Drew as Mr. Alcott
  • Carter Hurst as Brian
  • Michael Whang as Dr. Park

Sarah Pribis brings a substantial background to her supporting role. She made her Broadway debut in Les Miserables while still in high school, later graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a double major in theater and journalism, and has prior screen credits across Dirty John (Bravo), Two Sentence Horror Stories (CW), and The Bold & the Beautiful (CBS).

Kentucky’s Growing Production Base

Kentucky’s Entertainment Incentive has attracted more than 250 productions to the state since 2022 and employed over 27,000 people in that period, according to state economic development figures. In 2025, the program incentivized more than $227 million in production investment. Lexington specifically has positioned itself as a base for lower-to-mid-budget productions, the budget tier where Lifetime consistently operates.

That context is worth keeping in mind when reading descriptions of Lexington as a cinematically “ideal” choice. The city’s landscapes and neighborhoods are genuine assets, but a 30-to-35 percent refundable tax credit is a hard number that production accountants weigh before any location scout boards a plane.
