Few television finales felt as settled as Ted Lasso Season 3. Ted returned to the United States, AFC Richmond carried on without him, and the coach appeared ready to build a quieter life around his son. Season 4 reopens that ending with a new assignment. Ted heads back to England to manage Richmond’s second-division women’s team, exchanging one underdog challenge for another. The ten-episode season premiered on Apple TV on August 5, 2026.
The story now begins in Ted’s American world before crossing back to Richmond’s pubs, lanes and football grounds. Production accordingly divided its schedule between the Kansas City metropolitan area and Greater London, using real restaurants, neighborhoods, museums, stadiums and club facilities to distinguish the two sides of his life.
Ted Lasso Season 4 Filming Locations
Season 4 production began in Kansas City on July 21, 2025. The Missouri unit worked for roughly two weeks before the company moved to England, where filming continued through winter. Jeremy Swift, who plays Leslie Higgins, later said the shoot began in Kansas City’s summer heat and ended in wet London at the close of January 2026.
Kansas City is not standing in for another place. It is Jason Sudeikis’s home region and Ted’s established American base, allowing the series to explore the life he chose at the end of Season 3 before Richmond pulls him back across the Atlantic.

Gates Bar-B-Q
Gates Bar-B-Q at 3205 Main Street is one of the season’s clearest Missouri settings. The Midtown restaurant appears when Ted introduces Rebecca, Keeley and Higgins to Kansas City barbecue. Production filmed inside the working establishment, where longtime employee Beatrice Hooker reportedly appeared as a waitress.
Gates immediately makes the English visitors look like guests in Ted’s world. Its red booths, busy dining room and unmistakably local atmosphere provide a sense of place that a studio-built barbecue restaurant could not easily reproduce.

Country Club Plaza
Filming also spread through Country Club Plaza, the Spanish-inspired shopping district south of downtown. Crews worked around Broadway Boulevard and Nichols Road, bringing production lights, traffic controls and screened-off areas to the retail streets.
The Jonny Was shop at 320 Nichols Road received the most visible makeover. Its exterior became a fictional boutique called “Dazzle Me Moi.” The redressing supplied the story with a new storefront while keeping the Plaza’s arches, tile work and walkable streets on camera.

CPKC Stadium and Swope
The most appropriate football location was CPKC Stadium at 1460 East Front Street, home of the Kansas City Current. Opened in 2024, it was purpose-built for a professional women’s team, making it an especially relevant setting for a season about Ted coaching Richmond’s women.
Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham were seen during filming at the stadium. The crew also used Swope Soccer Village at 6310 Lewis Road, a multi-pitch complex suited to training and match material. Together, the sites connect Ted’s new assignment with the growing visibility of women’s football in Kansas City.

The Negro Leagues Museum
The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum at 1616 East 18th Street gave the Kansas City schedule historical weight. Located in the 18th and Vine district, the museum closed to visitors while production spent a day filming inside.
Museum representatives have said the sequence connects the history of the Negro Leagues with the experiences of Black footballers in England. That makes the location more than a sightseeing stop. The series has often used sport to examine identity and belonging, and the museum grounds that conversation in a real institution.

Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs
The shoot extended into Kansas City’s suburbs. Blue Springs approved filming, with residential work reported around the Chapman Farms neighborhood. Those streets appear to supply the quieter domestic surroundings of Ted’s American life.
In Lee’s Summit, McKeever’s Market & Eatery at 840 Northwest Pryor Road hosted the final day of the Kansas City schedule. Photographs showed Sudeikis dressed as though Ted were working in the grocery store, although the episode supplies the full context. Additional neighborhood filming took place in Lee’s Summit before the production returned to England.
Richmond Green Returns
London filming restored the show’s most familiar geography. Production began working in Richmond in September 2025 and returned several times. Richmond Green again serves as the neighborhood’s open center, linking Ted’s street, the local businesses and the supporters who give AFC Richmond its communal identity.
The Prince’s Head at 28 The Green was dressed once more as the Crown & Anchor. Nearby Paved Court also returned as the pedestrian lane associated with Ted’s flat. Filming there now requires careful framing because the show’s success has turned the area into a fan destination, complete with a Ted Lasso merchandise shop.
Supervising location manager Eleri Coulten has described Richmond as a character rather than a backdrop. Its doors, benches, brickwork and independent businesses have accumulated too much recognition to be convincingly replaced by a digital version.
Scott’s and Richmond Theatre
Season 4 expanded its southwest London footprint at Scott’s Richmond, the seafood restaurant at 4 Whittaker Avenue, where Hannah Waddingham was photographed filming. This was the Richmond branch, not the better-known Scott’s on Mount Street in Mayfair.
The company also worked at Richmond Theatre and returned to Pembroke Villas, the street used for the exterior of Rebecca’s home. A hair salon on Paved Court hosted further activity, while Sudeikis was seen filming at a school in nearby Kingston. These additions provide fresh settings without pulling the story away from Richmond.

Hayes Studios and Training Ground
Controlled interiors were based at West London Film Studios on Springfield Road in Hayes. The facility’s six stages and production spaces made it a practical home for recurring club sets. Season 4 operated under the working title “Nando.”
The SkyEx Community Stadium on Beaconsfield Road, home of Hayes & Yeading United, also returned. Its pitches and training areas help form AFC Richmond’s football environment. The real lower-league setting preserves the modest, functional character of the fictional club better than a gleaming major stadium would.
Season 4’s locations make Ted’s central conflict visible. Kansas City holds his family responsibilities and personal history; Richmond holds the team and community that changed him. Shooting in both places gives his return genuine distance and consequence.
Gates Bar-B-Q, Country Club Plaza, CPKC Stadium and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum establish an American life with its own texture. Richmond Green, the Crown & Anchor, Paved Court and the Hayes football grounds then explain why England remains difficult for Ted to leave behind. The team at the center of the story may be new, but Ted Lasso still understands that the right place can carry as much emotional weight as any player.
