An elegant Irish wedding should have been one of Gethsemane Brown’s easier musical engagements, but Hallmark’s Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding quickly turns the celebration into another murder case. The fourth movie keeps the franchise’s strongest visual element intact by once again filming on location in Ireland, rather than using Canada or another country to double for its Irish setting.

Tamera Mowry-Housley was actually in Ireland shooting the fourth installment in October 2025, months before Hallmark announced its September 2026 premiere. The production returned to the same broader Irish filmmaking base that has supported Haunted Harmony Mysteries since Murder in G Major. However, Hallmark has not yet released a complete location sheet for Prelude to a Wedding, so several picturesque buildings seen in the promotional material remain unidentified.

Ireland

Ireland is the confirmed principal filming destination for Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding. The choice maintains the visual continuity of a franchise built around Gethsemane’s life in the Irish countryside. Hallmark’s promotional material describes the story as an Irish wedding mystery, while Mowry-Housley confirmed during production that she and her co-stars were back in Ireland making the fourth movie.

That matters because the landscape is more than background decoration in Haunted Harmony Mysteries. Stone buildings, coastal roads, old estates and green countryside give the fictional community around Gethsemane a recognizable identity across the movies. Prelude to a Wedding adds a more romantic side of that setting through its wedding celebrations before the murder investigation takes over.

The production was underway in Ireland by October 2025. Mowry-Housley and Marco Grazzini revealed during an October television interview that they were currently there filming the fourth installment, even though the second movie had only just reached Hallmark viewers.

Dublin and County Wicklow

Dublin and County Wicklow form the established production corridor for Haunted Harmony Mysteries, although Hallmark has not confirmed which individual Prelude to a Wedding scenes were filmed in each area. Earlier entries used both the Irish capital and the countryside south of it, and the cast returned to Ireland again for the third and fourth films during the 2025 production cycle.

County Wicklow is particularly closely associated with the franchise. Murder in G Major used locations around Wicklow to create fictional Dunmullagh, including Hollywood village, the Black Castle ruins and coastal territory around Wicklow Head. Later productions shifted more of their base toward Dublin while continuing to make use of the surrounding Irish landscape.

It would therefore be reasonable to recognize the same general geography in Prelude to a Wedding. What cannot yet be responsibly stated is that a particular Wicklow estate, village or Dublin property represents the wedding venue without additional production confirmation.

Where Was the Wedding Filmed?

The real property used for the central wedding has not been publicly identified as of the movie’s premiere week. Hallmark’s official gallery shows Gethsemane mixing with the wedding party and reveals extensive location photography, but neither Hallmark nor the production company has named the venue.

The movie’s setup brings Gethsemane to the celebration as a musician. What begins as a formal Irish wedding becomes a murder investigation after a member of the bridal party dies, keeping much of the action centered around the wedding group and its surroundings.

That makes the venue one of the movie’s most noticeable real-world locations. It is also exactly the kind of place that can easily be misidentified from exterior architecture alone, so attaching the name of an Irish hotel or country house without production evidence would be unreliable.

Wicklow Head Lighthouse, County Wicklow

The lighthouse seen in Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding is Wicklow Head Lighthouse on the County Wicklow coast. The location plays an important role in the mystery, with the best man discovered dead at the bottom of an old lighthouse.

The film also briefly captures Old Wicklow Head Lighthouse in the same view as Wicklow Head Lighthouse. Both structures can be seen together during one of the coastal sequences, confirming that the production returned to the Wicklow Head area previously used by the Haunted Harmony Mysteries franchise.

Wicklow Head has a long history as a lighthouse site, with multiple towers constructed there over the centuries. Its exposed coastal setting overlooking the Irish Sea gives the murder scene a particularly striking backdrop and connects Prelude to a Wedding with the County Wicklow locations established in the earlier movies.

Prelude to a Wedding Continued the Franchise’s Ireland Shoot

Prelude to a Wedding was not a production that merely inserted a few Irish establishing shots around interiors made elsewhere. The cast returned to Ireland for the fourth film, continuing a location strategy that has distinguished Haunted Harmony Mysteries since 2023.

That consistency is particularly useful for Gethsemane’s story. Even as each installment introduces a new crime, Ireland gives the movies a shared physical world, whether the case leads to a boarding school, harbor, castle or wedding. Prelude to a Wedding expands that world without abandoning the landscape that has become one of the franchise’s signatures.
